The Contemporary Education Foundation-Pekcan Elementary School, built on land allocated by Muş Special Provincial Administration through Bulanık Municipality via the Muş Bulanık District Governorship, welcomed students to its new, welcoming environment.
Since its establishment in 1994, the Contemporary Education Foundation has remained committed to addressing educational challenges and ensuring that our children receive education aligned with the philosophy of the Republic and Atatürk’s principles. The Foundation continues to grow and contribute meaningfully to education. We are proud of these achievements.
Building on Success
Following the devastating 1999 earthquake, the Foundation expanded its impact by constructing:
- ÇEV M. Kutsi Beğdeş Primary School in Erzincan’s Tercan District (2006)
- ÇEV Student Dormitory in Sakarya University (6 units with 96 beds)
- ÇEV Education and Culture Center at Sakarya University
The Pekcan Primary School
The primary school in the Yemişen town of Muş’s Bulanık district was made possible through the generous contributions of Ms. Leyla Pekcan, a Trustee of the Contemporary Education Foundation, and her husband Tunç Pekcan. The school was officially opened on November 30, 2007, and immediately began serving our students.
The swift and collaborative support from the Muş/Bulanık District Governor’s Office enabled the rapid completion of this vital school project, allowing children in this underserved region to begin their education without delay.
